Hauran

HAURAN (HARRAN or HAWRAN): This civilian internment camp was located in the Vilayet of Aleppo, twenty-one miles south-southeast of Ourfa and fifty-one miles east of Jerablus in northern Mesopotamia. It was situated on the Belik River, twenty miles southeast of Ourfa. Hauran served as the terminus camp for the few Armenians who survived their trek across Anatolia.
